Hong Kong Women Choir chimes in to support Variety

(Variety, June 2017)

The Hong Kong Women’s Choir (THKWC), a registered charity comprised of local and international women who Sing for Good Causes, raised the curtain on their 20th anniversary Spring season celebration. THKWC was founded in 1997 by a group of dedicated female singers with a common love of singing and giving back to the local Hong Kong community.

This 20th anniversary Spring season was filled with an array of exciting concerts, culminating in a “Party at the Market” dinner and concert at the iconic Western Market. The event was supporting the Choir’s chosen charity for the year, Variety – the Children’s Charity Hong Kong, which enables disadvantaged children in Hong Kong to live, laugh, be happy, and achieve their full potential.

About The Hong Kong Women’s Choir:

The Hong Kong Women’s Choir (THKWC), a registered charity comprised of local and international women who Sing for Good Causes, was founded in 1997 by a group of dedicated female singers with a common love of singing. The Choir is made up of two sister groups: NOVA, the core group of singers performing a cantata, to accompaniment, and Grace Notes, who sing a cappella (unaccompanied). The choirs have sung in such places as The Hong Kong Jockey Club and Government House. The choir’s driving aim is to support a variety of local worthwhile causes while bringing entertainment to audiences of all kinds through vocal performances at both private functions and public events. As this is our 20th Anniversary year, we are looking to get out there not only spread the message of the wonderful work The Hong Kong Women’s Choir does, but spread the joy of singing too! If anyone wants to get in touch to book NOVA or Gracenotes, please do so using the below contact information.
